There is always something to celebrate

There is lots of activities happening off court as well, from Bridge to the 100 Club, casual BBQs to Masterchef led dinners, as well as the usual parties for Christmas and Burns Night.

100 CLUB

The 100 Club is one of the ways the club raises money for the sinking fund set aside for the future  refurbishment of the courts, floodlights and clubhouse. All members are eligible to buy into the 100 Club each year, providing they are over the age of 16 years, and to have the chance to win cash prizes throughout that year.

How it works

There is a maximum of 100 shares, which members can buy (one or more) at a price of £25 each per year. If all are sold, this raises £2,500 of which a minimum of 50% is returned in prizes, and the balance placed in the club’s sinking fund.

Friendly duplicate bridge drives are held at 7.30pm on the second and fourth Fridays of each month. Players need to come as a pair.

The club fields teams in the Surrey LTA Bridge League and Knock-Out.

WGTC is proud to have a previous contestant of Masterchef as one of our members. We plan to host two masterchef led dinners a year. Keep an eye out for upcoming events throughout the year. Previous dinners included an Indian night and a greek night.

As a club we pride ourselves on our social ‘gatherings’, whether these be on the Final Days BBQ and afternoon tea or traditional Christmas party, with lots of different themed evenings and held throughout the year.

We’ve had quiz nights, wine tasting, Halloween, Summer BBQs, curry nights, Burns Night and all sorts over the years. Check out upcoming parties on the events page, in the clubhouse or on the members site.
